Stalybridge Town Crest - The Motto means 'Nothing without Labour'

Directions and Map

Copley High School was opened in 1976 and is situated in Stalybridge, east of Greater Manchester, at the foot of the Pennine hills.  In 1986 there was a fire which destroyed part of the school but this was soon rebuilt. The staff and pupils took the disaster in their stride and soon re-established the excellent spirit of the school.  It serves mainly the local population of Stalybridge, Millbrook, Carrbrook and parts of Mossley, although some pupils travel from further afield to attend.  Alongside the school is Copley Recreation Centre which houses a swimming pool and sports training facilities for the local community.
