Admissions

Admission arrangements for Copley High School are set out in the 'Moving On 2009' booklet published by Tameside Local Education Authority. Please consult the book carefully. It gives clear advice on the completion of admission forms.

We advise parents to request Copley as their first choice if they wish their child to attend and to also be aware that places are limited by capacity.

Before new pupils begin their first year at Copley, we offer every pupil and parent an interview with a member of staff. During this interview you will be able to discuss any worries or problems you have concerning our son/daughter's first year at Copley. The interview also gives school, parents and pupils a chance to exchange any helpful information which may affect the pupil. In addition we hold a New Intake Evening in the term before your daughter/son begins secondary school. During this evening, pupils meet their form teachers and get together with other pupils in their form.
